2. About

The Blackpool Easter Hockey Festival is in its 69th year at Stanley Park, Blackpool. The festival is open to mixed teams only.

The weekend includes four/five games of 11-a-side hockey per day and one/two on Easter Monday, with each team playing approximately fifteen matches in total. The majority of matches are played on astro-turf but some games are played on grass.

Each game is 15 minutes one way with a 5-minute interval between games and are always officiated by two qualified umpires, with games being centrally timed.

The playing facilities comprise 2 sand-dressed artificial pitches in Stanley Park and 2 grass pitches at Blackpool Cricket Club.
